There is very little discussion regarding this event by today’s ministry leaders; however, this should be a highly desired event by those who have chosen to travel the narrow road. A biblical explanation regarding this exam is shown below:
Biblically speaking, this is the final judgment that cannot be avoided. This is described in Hebrews 9:27 when the apostle John recorded some details regarding this. This will take place when the old earth is destroyed and the new earth and new Heaven is created and everyone stands before Christ to get their eternal assignment. There are two type of judgment as described below:
The Judgment Seat of Christ
This is also described as the Bema Seat of Christ as described in Romans 14:10-12. This is the time people will receive their rewards for being a follower of Christ and being a faithful servant in the form of crowns. A brief overview of the five crows is listed below:
1: The Crown of Rejoicing is given to those who win others to Christ. This is also described as the “soul-winners” crown and is described in 1 Thessalonians 2:19.
2: The Crown of Righteousness (2 Timothy 4:8) is given to those who look for and love Christ’s return.
3: The Crown of Glory (1 Peter 5:4) is given to those who faithfully preach and teach God’s Word. This is also described as the pastor’s crown and will be given to the ministers who faithfully feed the flock of God
4: The Incorruptible Crown (1 Thessalonians 2:19) is given to those who run a good race in the Christian life.
5: The Crown of Life (Revelations 2:10 KJV) is given to those who suffer for the name of Christ. These represent the primary ways people become prepared to hear Christ say “well done, good and faithful servants as well as the insights that will be used by Him in making eternal life job assignments. .
The Great White Throne Judgment
This is the final judgment (Revelation 20:11-15) for those that didn’t get their name recorded in the Book of Life as result of not establishing an authentic, dependent relationship with Christ. This the judgment that will determine the severity of their punishment based on an evaluation of their earthly life’s works and the evil of their deeds.
